Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Train to Vegas!
TRAIN TO VEGAS
The groundbreaking ceremony held by Brightline West on April 22, 2024, in Las Vegas marked a significant milestone for the high-speed rail project connecting Southern California to Las Vegas. The route now has environmental clearance and it is set up to run primarily in the median of the I-15 highway.
The Las Vegas station, set to occupy an 80,000 square foot space, will be strategically located on the Las Vegas strip. Specifically, the station will be situated on a 110-acre property north of Blue Diamond Road, nestled between the I-15 and Las Vegas Boulevard. This ambitious project aims to enhance connectivity and provide a fast, efficient mode of transportation.
The high-speed rail project will include additional stations in California to complement the Las Vegas station. The Victor Valley Station will be located in Apple Valley, California. The station will occupy 20,000 square feet on a 300-acre parcel southeast of Dale Evans Parkway and the I-15 interchange. The Rancho Cucamonga Station will occupy 80,000 square feet on a 5-acre parcel at the northwest corner of Millikan Avenue and Azusa Court, near the Ontario airport.
The strategically placed stations aim to facilitate efficient travel between Southern California and Las Vegas, boosting connectivity and economic growth in the region.
